Tuesdays:
6-7:30 Screenplay writing circle
Weekly writing circle with Brittney is open to all students excited to write HARA’s inaugural TV series! Discover the fun & freedom to develop your own stories, characters and what medium your imagination can see it take shape! The work from this circle’s TV scripts will be produced on Sundays in Studio A.
Wednesdays:
6-7:30: The Art of Comedy
Mike’s extraordinary comedy training will be an acting class you don’t want to miss! This 6-week series will take each student straight into the heart of the source of their humor. Expect to be pushed to the edge of what brings you to the sweet spot of the stage while laughing for an hour and a half each week. Learn the M.A.P. to comedy writing. (Material, Audience, Performer)
Saturdays:
10am-2pm: Energy System of Acting & On-Camera Technique
Strengthen your intuitive impulses as actors to make character choices. This class will include exercises to understand the body’s energy system (aka. chakras) and apply it to on-camera acting; creating an authentic and believable performance. Each week will include casting & rehearsal for the Sunday production. Scene study, improvisation, creative collaboration, and creative control.
Sundays:
11am-4pm TV Episodic production days
Every Sunday, we will have a full shoot day in Studio A. Students will gain experience acting in front of the camera, as well as in the control room behind the camera. The weekly TV episode will be a culmination of the work from the Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday classes. The 5-part series will air on Comcast channels 24 and the new channel 27 debuting next week.
