WHY:
To celebrate and support student independent filmmaking in Monterey Bay! This event is a fundraiser for the student scholarships for Fall classes which will include new TV & film productions!

EVENT INFORMATION:
Following their first film premier Instructions Not Included in May, Hara Motion Picture Conservatory presents the culmination of their summer season Short Film Creation Fest: from pre to post production. HARA students have taken their passion for creating meaningful films to a new level. Three HARA alumni, Nate Mandurrago, Eric Hinwood and Mia Gustafson have written, directed and edited their own 5-minute short films. This festival is a pre-screening, as we are proud to announce the films will be showing at the Carmel Youth Center as part of the Carmel Art & Film Festival in October!

Mandurragos debut film, Safety First, is a mind-bending comedy about a man who becomes trapped in his own mind, a cage of orange traffic cones.

Hinwoods debut film is a slapstick comedy about a iconic best friend Stein, and his brilliant plans to get his friend into the arms of a beautiful girl.

Gustafsons debut film, Carnations is a narrative about the journeys of grief and renewal of love, as the universe brings a boy and girls stars to collide.

Kalmbachs debut film, Truant Moon is a narrative about a young womans desire for independence and adventure, which leads her to a new understanding of her mothers unconditional love.
